Yesterday I was up until 5am, trying to make a drawing for Urban Outfitters. They want to showcase 5 A1 drawings of mine in-store, which is lovely. The problem, however, is that I don’t have 5 A1 drawings, so now I have to actually make them. LIFE IS HARD.

Every time I write in English I feel guilty that I’m not writing in French. I don’t understand how people with real jobs manage to do anything other than work. Time stretches out like a vast fucking ocean for me and I still feel numb with exhaustion from trying to both update my Tumblr AND eat two meals in the same day; how do I fit in learning French, Finnish and keeping in touch with my friends as well? My chores can pretty much be divided into computer and IRL chores, and I don’t seem to get much done in either category. Even eating and brushing my teeth have to be chores in order to happen at all.

For today’s computer chores, it would be good if I sent a few emails, wrote a few cover letters in Word, scanned a couple of drawings, and updated my art blog and French blog. (I have too many internet outlets; the French blog, the Swedish blog, this one, the art blog, Twitter, Facebook, and emails. Is it so surprising that I never answer my phone?) And for the real-life chores, it would be good if I stretched, took a walk in the park, finished the Urban Outfitters drawing and started working on a new drawing, ate, showered, brushed my teeth and did some very light cleaning.

But I know that if I’m lucky I will, at most, brush my teeth, eat, and finish one drawing while watching a French movie. All this by 5am in the following morning.

PS. Finishing this post was a chore: I can now check off ‘update Tumblr’, and it took me over half an hour to write all this. DS.

I found a girl who was willing to dye and cut my hair in exchange for a drawing, so now I’m trying to see which color would look best.

This is my first post
